WHFMEAFR visits Sino-Africa Joint Research Center
To further strengthen ties and to advance harmony and peace around the world and towards educational organizations, President Ariel Huang of the World Harmony Foundation Middle and East and Africa Chapter and her team Visited the headquarters of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya on June 15, 2022.
The visit investigated the scientific research infrastructure and botanical gardens of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center which is assisted in construction by the Ministry of Commerce of China in Kenya, learned in detail about the construction process of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center and the development achievements of China-Africa scientific and technological cooperation, and exchanged views with the supervisors of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center on deepening cooperation and significant works.
In the meeting, Yu Haifeng, overseas director of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center, and Zhang Guoshi introduced the comprehensive situation of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center from the aspects of the preparatory process, infrastructure construction, scientific research and innovation cooperation, training of African-talents, and development goals. He also introduced the progress of scientific research cooperation projects conducted by the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center in recent years with the support of the China Provincial Department of Science and Technology. At the same time, WHFMEAFR introduced the historical background, milestone, and mission of World Harmony Foundation Middle and East and Africa Chapter to the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center and discussed the collaborative direction of similar project backgrounds such as water resources, microbiology, and virus research projects.
Chairman Huang praised the achievements of the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center in promoting China-Africa scientific technological cultural exchanges and the transformation of innovative achievements, and proposed to promote the cooperation strategy between WHFMEARF and the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center in the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, which includes but not limited to the acceleration of the landing of the Water Improvement Program and the Shelter Health Care Station Program through multidimension of manufacture, academy, research and sales and maintenance in-depth cooperation, and United Nations 17 sustainable improvement programs.
At the meeting, the two sides also exchanged other cooperation matters.
